- 7th and 8th grade UIL Music Memory teams placed 1st at the district meet. 6th grade UIL Music Memory team placed 2nd at the district meet. BMS also took 1st, 4th, and 5th place individual awards for 6th grade and swept up with 1st through 4th place individual awards in 7th and 8th grade.
- 15 BMS band students (2 Symphonic Band, 13 Concert Band) placed in the ATSSB All-Region Bands. BMS has the #1 ranked Bass Clarinetist in the entire region. One 6th grade student also placed in the bands. We also had 5 students place as 1st, 2nd, or 3rd alternates.
- BMS 7th/8th Grade Band received division 1 "Superior" ratings at UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Contest, earning the highest "Sweepstakes Award" for the 3rd year in a row! The band received straight 1s in sight-reading, and a 1, 1, 2 on stage. The band performed two "Grade 2" selections, more challenging than anything they have played in the past.
- BMS 7th/8th Grade Band placed 2nd in the ATSSB OPS Region competition for their performance of Marzo Zingaro, qualifying for Area.
- BMS 7th/8th Grade Band placed 2nd in the ATSSB OPS Region competition for their performance of Danza de Espana, qualifying for Area.
- BMS 7th/8th Grade Band placed 3rd in the ATSSB OPS Area competition for their performance of Marzo Zingaro, runner-up to qualify for State.
2017-2018
- 7th and 8th grade UIL Music Memory teams placed 1st at the district meet. 6th grade UIL Music Memory team placed 2nd at the district meet. BMS also took 1st and 2nd place individual awards for 8th grade and 3rd place individual award for 6th grade.
- 16 BMS band students (8 Symphonic Band, 8 Concert Band) placed in the ATSSB All-Region Bands. BMS has the #1 ranked Tenor Saxophonist (2nd consecutive year!), #1 ranked flutist, #1 ranked percussionist, and #2 ranked bass clarinet in the entire region! Two of our 6th graders placed in the bands. We also had 3 students place as alternates.
- BMS 6th Grade Band received straight 1s at the Pirateland Music Festival.
- BMS 7th/8th Grade Band received division 1 "Superior" ratings from all 6 judges at UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Contest, earning the highest "Sweepstakes Award" for the 2nd year in a row! This is the first time in BMS history the middle school band received straight 1s.
- BMS 7th/8th Grade Band placed 2nd in the ATSSB OPS Region competition for their performance of Forward March!, qualifying for Area.
- BMS 7th/8th Grade Band placed 3rd in the ATSSB OPS Area competition for their performance of Forward March!, runner-up to qualify for State.
- 6th, 7th and 8th Grade UIL Music Memory teams all placed 1st at the district meet! BMS also took 1st place for individual awards in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades!
- 22 BMS band students (10 Symphonic Band, 12 Concert Band) placed in the ATSSB All-Region Bands. BMS has the #1 ranked Alto Saxophonist and #1 & #2 ranked Tenor Saxophonists in the entire region!
- BMS 7th/8th Grade Band received a "1" at UIL Concert Contest and a "1" in Sight-Reading, earning the highest "Sweepstakes" Award! First time in Blanco history.
- BMS 6th Grade Band received an Excellent rating at the Pirateland Music Festival.
- BMS 7th/8th Grade Band placed 1st in the ATSSB OPS Region competition for their performance of Postwood March, qualifying for Area.
- BMS 7th/8th Grade Band placed 2nd in the ATSSB OPS Area competition for their performance of Postwood March, qualifying for State.
- BMS 7th/8th Grade Band placed 9th in the ATSSB OPS State competition for their performance of Postwood March, higher than any other band in our Region.
2015-2016
- UIL Music Memory team placed 2nd at the district meet. BMS took 1st place for individual awards in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades!
- 14 BMS band students (6 Symphonic Band, 8 Concert Band) placed in the ATSSB All-Region Bands. BMS had the #1 ranked alto saxophonist in the entire region!
- BMS 7th/8th Grade Band received straight 1s at UIL Concert Contest and a Division 2 in Sight-Reading.
- BMS 6th Grade Band received straight 1s at the Pirateland Music Festival.
- BMS 7th/8th Grade Band placed 1st in the ATSSB OPS Region competition for their performance of Crosswinds March, qualifying for Area.
- BMS 7th/8th Grade Band placed 3rd in the ATSSB OPS Area competition for their performance of Crosswinds March, runner-up to qualify for State.
